Venue Content Guidelines
Version effective October 5, 2026
Who may publish
Only active administrators and invited venue members may create or edit event listings. Venue members may publish only for their assigned venue. Venue-published events do not require routine preapproval, but they remain subject to these guidelines and later moderation.
Rules for event content
By creating or editing an event, you confirm that the listing is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you will not submit:
- Nudity or sexually explicit content.
- Graphic violence.
- Harassment, hateful content, threats, or content targeting a person for abuse.
- Spam, deceptive listings, or repeated irrelevant promotions.
- Images you do not own or have permission to publish.
Do not impersonate another venue or person, violate intellectual-property or privacy rights, promote illegal activity, or use event fields for unrelated content. Ticket links must use HTTP or HTTPS. Uploaded event images must use a supported image format and remain within the app’s size limit. File-type and size checks are not automated image-content screening.
Content ownership and permission
By submitting event text, photos, or artwork, you confirm that you own the submitted content or have permission from the applicable rights holder to authorize East Alabama Live to use it as described below.
You retain ownership of your content. You grant Cultivate Media LLC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, compress, resize, crop for display, and publicly display the submitted content in East Alabama Live event listings. This license is limited to operating and displaying the applicable East Alabama Live listing and does not grant Cultivate Media LLC broader advertising or promotional rights.
Do not submit content if you do not have the rights or permission necessary to grant this license.
Event listings submitted by an authorized venue member are official shared records of the assigned venue, not the member’s personal profile content. Other authorized members may maintain those listings. If a member deletes their account, the venue, public venue events, and promotional images still referenced by those events remain; the member’s private attribution and unused account-owned uploads are removed.
Reports and moderation
App users can report an event and its venue publisher with a reason and optional explanation. Reports are available only to authorized administrators. Administrators may dismiss a report, remove an event, or deactivate a verified responsible venue member when appropriate. Legacy events may not identify a responsible individual unless a later verified edit establishes one.
Users can also block a venue publisher. Blocking hides that venue’s eligible content from supported areas of the app; it does not delete the venue or its events.
Acceptance and updates
You must accept this version of these guidelines before each event creation or edit. East Alabama Live records the accepted version and related publishing action. We may update these guidelines as the service changes; a newer version requires a new acceptance before publishing.
